Intern - Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron Singapore is looking for an intern to support its engineering teams in improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, yield, quality, reliability and operational efficiency. Interns may be assigned to projects in Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related functions, and may use AI, generative AI, automation, advanced analytics or digital manufacturing tools. The internship runs for 5 months, from January to May 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze engineering and manufacturing data to find opportunities for process, quality, yield or equipment performance improvement.
• Support engineering investigations, root cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop data-driven recommendations to improve yield, quality, productivity and cost performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement engineering solutions.
• Deliver engineering analysis and project findings, data-driven recommendations, technical documentation and reports, and a final project presentation to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Studying Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated interest in engineering, manufacturing, technology and the semiconductor industry.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python, SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI, generative AI, automation tools or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
