Internal Audit Senior Specialist

About the role

Wise is looking for an Internal Audit Senior Specialist to join its growing APAC Internal Audit team in Singapore. You will help design, plan and execute internal audits, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to strengthen governance, risk management and control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including continuous monitoring and automated audit routines.
• Deliver audit engagements according to the audit plan, ensuring timely and relevant outcomes.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and measure the effectiveness of improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel as needed to meet audit objectives across different office locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk, control or assurance roles, preferably with Big 4 external audit or internal audit exposure in financial institutions.
• Background in fintech or broader financial services.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of audit areas and know when to escalate.
• Strong project‑management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high‑quality outputs.
• Agile, adaptable and comfortable using data‑driven audit techniques.
