Inventory Analyst

About the role

Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing partner, is looking for an Inventory Analyst. The role owns the monitoring of inventory levels and traceability, and identifies, classifies and finds the root causes of inventory inaccuracies, then gives feedback and possible solutions to the manager to eliminate further discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all material transactions for the assigned area(s).
• Identify, resolve and find the root cause of discrepancies and other inventory errors.
• Recommend changes that eliminate or greatly reduce future inaccuracies.
• Work overtime, assist in material handling and fill in for other Inventory Control staff as required.
• Eliminate manufacturing downtime associated with the assigned area where applicable.
• Perform regular component cycle counts and inventory transactions and reporting on customer systems when required.
• Assist in developing and implementing materials management systems that improve inventory control.
• Interface with departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management and other plant operations functions.
• Follow safety, health rules, company security procedures and other duties assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to present information and answer questions from managers, clients, customers and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos and visual aids, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with little variation and to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to compute rates, ratios and percentages and interpret graphs.

Required skills

• Personal computer operation, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
