Investment Operations Specialist, Global Financial Markets Operations (FXMM)

About the role

DBS Bank is looking for a Senior Associate or Assistant Vice President to join its Global Financial Markets Operations team in Singapore. The role covers exceptions handling, settlement, reconciliation and control checks on Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Non-Deliverable Forwards products and the CLS process. It is based at DBS Asia Gateway and is a regular, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end processing support for GFMO on FX, Money Market and NDF products across Singapore, Australia, China, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of trade validation, settlement, reconciliation, control checks, investigations and exception handling.
• Support FX CLS across Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea entities.
• Drive and support process improvement initiatives and projects, and perform data analysis and problem solving at SME level.
• Perform exception checks on FX, Money Market and NDF trades against source documents and trade confirmations in the core system.
• Perform settlement and control and completeness checks at specific timings.
• Monitor and handle end-to-end CLS control functions, including unmatched or alleged trades, reconciliations, control checks and escalations, resolving breaks within the stipulated turnaround time.
• Manage pre- and post-trade inquiries by email and SWIFT, and perform monthly brokerage reconciliation and payments.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of banking operations experience, preferably with product knowledge of FX, Money Market and NDF products.
• Experience in processing, reconciliation and settlement functions.
• Experience in process and system design analysis, automation or digitisation projects and project management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and data analytics; designing workflows.
• Business intelligence tools and programming (e.g., Tableau, VBA, Python) are an advantage.
• Future of work knowledge and skills are an advantage.
