IT Application & Systems Engineer (Coding)

About the role

We are looking for a junior IT Application & Systems Engineer to join our team in Tuas. You will help maintain and enhance our internal applications, websites and integrations while providing user support.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of IT systems, applications and company websites, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Participate in project teams that design and implement business solutions.
• Perform system integration testing, troubleshoot software issues and resolve incidents.
• Provide first‑line user support, log and track tickets, and conduct end‑user training.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system performance and user experience.
• Design, develop and maintain internal applications and custom reports for users and clients.
• Carry out other IT‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification (higher education preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with SaaS environments such as Microsoft 365.
• Experience with logistics processes is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of application frameworks and API integration.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript for designing, coding and deploying scalable applications.
• Experience with Business Central and Jet Report.
