IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer - Maritime Industry

About the role

A leading global maritime and shipping organisation is expanding its Singapore-based IT teams and is looking for experienced IT professionals. The client offers multiple permanent openings: vessel IT infrastructure support (remote) and corporate IT support (onsite and remote). The role involves rotational 24/7 standby support and is advertised by Triton AI Pte Ltd.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for IT infrastructure, systems and end users across corporate offices, regional operations and vessel environments.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimise IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking equipment, workstations and communication systems.
• Deliver efficient onsite and remote support, manage escalated incidents and keep business disruption to a minimum.
• Monitor system performance, carry out maintenance and upgrades, and support cybersecurity, backup and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional IT teams, internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
• Manage IT service desk incidents, resolve escalations on time and meet established SLAs.
• Take part in rotational 24/7 standby support for critical incidents.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of IT infrastructure or technical support experience, preferably in a large user base within an MNC or enterprise.
• Hands-on Level 2/3 troubleshooting, remote support, enterprise infrastructure and IT service desk experience.
• Ability to resolve complex issues independently and communicate well with stakeholders at all levels.
• Maritime IT, vessel infrastructure or shipping-related experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Networking and infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of IT hardware, servers, network connectivity, system maintenance and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, cloud technologies, firewalls, backup solutions or IT service management platforms is advantageous.
