IT Manager (Infrastructure & Security)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on IT Manager to take full ownership of our infrastructure, security and day‑to‑day IT environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, drive the IT roadmap and enjoy significant autonomy over the firm’s entire technology estate.

Key responsibilities

• Own the firm’s day‑to‑day IT infrastructure, operations and security, delivering the IT roadmap.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and manage one IT Support Analyst.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune, ensuring reliability, security and suitability.
• Oversee cyber‑security controls – endpoint protection, vulnerability and patch management, access controls and incident response – with an outsourced security partner.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity, conduct regular testing and remediate gaps.
• Maintain IT policies, standards, risk register and governance documentation; report performance, risk, projects and spend to management.
• Manage vendors from selection to performance, own the IT budget, technology renewals and infrastructure upgrades.
• Drive firm‑wide adoption of AI and emerging tools, setting standards and identifying high‑value use cases.
• Partner with business stakeholders to scope requirements and deliver approved technology projects and system integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with progressive ownership of responsibilities.
• Prior experience in a financial institution or financial services environment.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune, plus solid grounding in infrastructure security, endpoint protection, patching, access controls, backup and disaster recovery.
• Proven track record managing security, vendors, budgets and IT policy.
• Comfortable in a lean IT setting, taking broad ownership across the stack.
• Confident communicator able to engage senior stakeholders and translate technical matters.
