IT Operations Engineer

About the role

The IT Operations Engineer ensures the stability, availability, security, and day‑to‑day operation of production and non‑production systems for a regulated financial services environment. The role supports incident management, system monitoring, operational changes, patch management, access administration, compliance activities, and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support business‑critical applications and infrastructure.
• Respond to and manage production incidents, troubleshooting and coordinating recovery activities.
• Execute operational changes, releases, and patching activities following change‑management processes.
• Manage user and service‑account access, provisioning, and periodic reviews.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and audit evidence.
• Support compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements, including MAS TRM guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams and external vendors to resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Operations, or Production Support.
• Experience supporting production systems in regulated or mission‑critical environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, ticketing systems, and ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
