IT Risk Specialist

About the role

Tangspac Consulting, a recruitment and consulting firm with over 25 years of experience in financial services and technology, is hiring a full-time IT Risk Specialist in Singapore. The role covers identifying, assessing and mitigating IT risks so that the organisation complies with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate IT risks across the organisation to meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Develop and implement IT risk management frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and reviews of IT systems, applications and processes, recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT risk management into business operations and project lifecycles.
• Monitor and report IT risk metrics, trends and incidents to senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on IT risk management and promote a culture of risk awareness.
• Stay up to date on emerging IT risks, technologies and regulatory requirements.
• Support incident response and business continuity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in financial services or technology is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IT risk frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT or similar.
• Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Certifications such as CISA, CRISC or CISSP are highly desirable.
