iTeam Manager, Customer Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The iTeam Manager, Customer Engineer will be based in Singapore and will lead a district of customer engineers who install, service, and support our equipment. Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across all levels in the district, including regular on‑site visits.
• Manage, coach, and direct all customer engineers, handling salary planning, career development, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions for technical support, training, spares, and reliability, and oversee the mentor program for new engineers.
• Lead system installation activities, including planning, reporting, pre‑facility and start‑up meetings, and manage the RMA procedure.
• Prepare financial forecasts, monitor cost efficiency, and ensure district financial results meet targets.

Required profile

• Proven first‑line people management experience, with responsibility for setting priorities and coaching teams to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong judgment to identify and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems, and ability to execute escalation procedures.
