Java Backend Engineer – High‑Concurrency Systems

About the role

Reolink is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join its backend team in Singapore. You will work on high‑concurrency, high‑performance services that power intelligent visual technology for homes and businesses worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, refactor and optimise core backend components using Java and/or Node.js.
• Research and implement innovative solutions for complex, high‑concurrency business problems.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions focusing on scalability, high availability and fault tolerance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with local, regional and cross‑functional teams, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, data structures and algorithms.
• Hands‑on experience building, deploying and maintaining high‑concurrency, high‑availability systems.

Required skills

• Java (deep knowledge of JVM internals and performance tuning) or Node.js (event‑driven, asynchronous programming).
• Experience with open‑source frameworks and middleware such as Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper and Redis.
• Proficiency in MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimisation and scaling strategies.
