Junior IT Engineer

About the role

Funding Societies | Modalku, the largest SME digital finance platform in Southeast Asia, is looking for a Junior IT Engineer to join its wider IT and Information Security team. The role supports employees and helps the company meet regulatory compliance requirements in the countries where it operates.

Key responsibilities

• IT support and user experience: configure and deploy desktops, laptops and mobile devices, support on-boarding and off-boarding, provide first-line support for endpoints, network devices and peripherals, run awareness training and handle user access enquiries
• IT operations and infrastructure: maintain the IT asset inventory, support regional infrastructure needs, assist with directory and authentication system requests, ensure company laptops meet baseline standards and support access audits
• Projects and processes: document and improve support procedures and checklists, create and troubleshoot Jira project boards, and take part in ongoing and new IT projects
• Automation and AI: learn to write basic scripts to automate repetitive tasks, monitor automation systems and explore AI tools to improve support efficiency and documentation

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role; fresh graduates with strong internship experience may also be considered
• Self-starter with good problem-solving, communication and analytical skills, able to manage multiple tasks and work with different functional groups

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace, JumpCloud (or similar directory/authentication tools), remote support and administration, Windows and macOS, iOS and Android
• Some exposure to computer networks, network administration, IT hardware and software installation
