Junior Trade Finance Executive (Contract)

About the role

The Junior Trade Finance Executive will support end‑to‑end trade finance operations for Singapore and Hong Kong transactions. This contract position involves processing a variety of letters of credit, guarantees and related financial instruments while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process import LC issuances, amendments, acceptances and payments.
• Handle export LC advising, confirmation, negotiation, discounting, payment and reimbursement claims.
• Manage guarantees such as shipping guarantees, bid and performance bonds, drawee risks, bank refinancing and risk participations.
• Ensure timely execution of business‑as‑usual (BAU) tasks within cut‑off times.
• Perform KYC validation and anti‑money‑laundering (AML) checks on all transactions.
• Enter trade finance data into the processing system, generate customer advice and post SWIFT messages via Kalipso/SWIFT Alliance.
• Prepare and file supporting documents, match SWIFT messages and handle correspondence with customers.
• Participate in digitalisation projects and the bank’s Business Continuity Plan.

Required profile

• Familiarity with trade finance processes for import and export transactions.
• Ability to conduct KYC and AML checks accurately.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
