About the role

Data Intellect is seeking a skilled kdb+ Engineer to join its capital‑markets consultancy team. You will work on high‑performance time‑series applications, collaborating with business users and senior engineers to deliver robust solutions for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to define new application requirements.
• Develop, test, and maintain clean, performant code for client‑facing kdb+ applications.
• Support project delivery alongside Project Managers and Senior Engineers, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Analyse large‑scale time‑series data and generate actionable reports.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on kdb+ development experience.
• Strong understanding of the q language and time‑series data structures.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Logical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and familiarity with SDLC methodologies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent client‑facing communication.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking is a plus.
