About the role
The Kitchen Assistant will support the culinary team at Lola Faye Cafe by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and handling stock. Working full‑time on‑site, you will ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while adhering to strict food‑safety and quality standards. This role offers a hands‑on environment where attention to detail and a proactive attitude are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredient mise‑en‑place accurately according to chefs’ specifications.
- Wash dishes, cutlery and kitchen utensils thoroughly to maintain hygiene.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work surfaces regularly.
- Receive and store stock deliveries, organizing inventory to prevent contamination.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to follow food‑safety and quality standards consistently.
