Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join Greensafe International's on‑site kitchen team to support chefs in a fast‑paced environment. You will help prepare meals by washing, cutting and portioning ingredients while upholding strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation and meal production to meet scheduled timelines.
• Wash, cut, peel, portion and prepare ingredients according to recipes and portion standards.
• Maintain food hygiene, safety and quality throughout handling processes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, workstations and equipment.
• Check food labels, quantities and temperatures for compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor supplies, report shortages or equipment issues, and help minimise food wastage.

Required profile

• Basic kitchen or food‑preparation experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Comfort working efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Responsible, punctual work ethic and willingness to learn company procedures; Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage.
