Kitchen Supervisor – Food Preparation & Team Lead

About the role

The Kitchen Supervisor will lead the food preparation team at Double Yummy Cuisine, ensuring high‑quality meals are produced efficiently while maintaining strict safety and sanitation standards across all islandwide locations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, including slicing, chopping, mincing, mixing and seasoning.
• Execute hot‑meal cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying and broiling.
• Maintain HACCP logs, temperature controls, proper labeling, dating and stock rotation.
• Contribute to daily, holiday and themed menus in collaboration with senior staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment, workstations and storage areas; follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints and implement feasible suggestions.
• Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
• Manage kitchen expenses, food cost, inventory and staffing within budget limits.
• Supervise and coach the kitchen team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of north Indian cuisine and general culinary techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.
