Korean Language Teacher for Middle & High School

About the role

Stamford American International School in Singapore is looking for a Korean‑speaking teacher to join its Middle and High School team. The role involves delivering Korean Language & Literature and Korean Language Acquisition across the IB MYP/DP, College Board AP, BTEC and Stamford curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Korean language programmes aligned with IB MYP/DP, AP, BTEC and Stamford courses.
• Engage a diverse student body, recognising individual assets, identities and learning needs.
• Support students’ holistic development through formal programmes and pastoral contributions.
• Collaborate with the wider Stamford community, handling communications and responsibilities with various stakeholders.

Required profile

• Ability to teach Korean Language & Literature and Korean Language Acquisition to Grades 6‑12.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience with middle and high school students.
• Three years of experience with IB MYP/DP, AP or similar programmes preferred.
• Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English proficiency.
• Proficiency in school systems, databases, communication platforms and educational technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent and current teaching licensure; Master’s degree preferred.
• International school experience, curriculum development, advisory or pastoral experience and multilingual abilities are desirable.
