L2 Networks Operations Engineer (AVP)

About the role

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Level 2 Networks Operations Engineer (AVP) to join its Global Network Services team in Singapore. You will work with cutting‑edge SDN, DCN, cloud and security technologies to keep the bank’s 24x7 network infrastructure reliable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and restore the global data network, following standard operating procedures.
• Handle incident and change tickets, perform break‑fix changes, and provide detailed incident summaries.
• Act as internal trainer for Tier 1/2 engineers and lead shift handovers between APAC and US teams.
• Escalate issues to technical managers and vendor support (Cisco TAC, Checkpoint, F5, Arista, Fortinet, Akamai, McAfee).
• Represent Global Network Operations during incident management calls and serve as a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Level 2 network engineer in enterprise‑grade environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex IP routing and protocol issues.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with global teams and management.

• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GTM, LTM, VPN, MP‑BGP, OSPF
• Cisco ACI, Wireless, DWDM (ADVA), Multicast, HSRP, Spanning‑Tree, VRF, DDoS mitigation
• IP services, proxies, network security appliances
• Vendor platforms: Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Arista, Fortinet, Akamai, McAfee
• CCNP or comparable networking certification
