Laboratory Assistant

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, and its Singapore laboratory is looking for a Laboratory Assistant. The role involves careful handling of clinical specimens, accurate specimen registration and attentive support for client queries.

Key responsibilities

• Meticulously handle clinical specimens and register them accurately and on time in the Laboratory Information System
• Understand clinical and test terminologies
• Follow specimen management procedures, including centrifugation, storage, retrieval and disposal
• Handle incoming client calls and enquiries professionally, and resolve client queries and problems promptly
• Observe PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) guidelines and maintain the chain of custody of specimens
• May be rotated to other lab locations or shifts as necessary

Required profile

• GCE "N" / "O" Level or NITEC in Biomedical Science
• At least 1 year of experience
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Relevant hospital laboratory experience is an added advantage

Required skills

• Good laboratory, organisational and administrative skills
• Computer literacy
• Service and customer orientation
