Laboratory Technician – Operating Room (Medical Education)

About the role

Arthrex is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support its Medical Education events and operating‑room training programs. The role ensures laboratory equipment, cadaver specimens and related facilities are ready, safe and compliant for both in‑house and off‑site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, set up, maintain and disinfect all Medical Education capital and laboratory equipment.
• Assist the Lab Operations Manager with SAP orders, inventory management, procurement and end‑to‑end repair processes.
• Coordinate forecasting, purchasing and disposal of cadaver specimens and other consumables according to the education schedule.
• Implement contamination protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations for human tissue and radiation equipment.
• Support local and international medical education events, including setup and breakdown of off‑site labs and exhibits, with up to 10 % travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in orthopedics or surgical training.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for order and inventory processing.
• Hands‑on expertise in laboratory equipment setup, maintenance and disinfection.
• Inventory management and procurement of lab supplies and implants.
• Implementation of contamination control and regulatory compliance for tissue handling.
