Lead, Category Management – Groceries & Non-Food

About the role

We are looking for a Lead, Category Management (Groceries & Non-Food) to be based in foodpanda Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Commercial in the Q‑commerce team, you will oversee strategic planning, development and execution of product categories within the foodpanda groceries business.

Key responsibilities

• Own P&L for grocery and non‑food categories, managing topline, margins, NMR and shrinkage.
• Develop and execute category strategy, pricing, promotions, assortment and cost pricing to grow sales and margin.
• Source and build a strong supplier base, negotiate terms and secure advertising spend.
• Use data‑driven decision making to forecast demand, manage inventory and minimise wastage.
• Collaborate with product, supply chain, sales operations and marketing on strategic projects.
• Lead regular business reviews and joint business plans with key AAA suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 8 years experience in merchandising, buying, category or business management.
• Proven leadership experience managing small teams and developing talent.
• Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Expertise in interpreting data and providing strategic recommendations.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
