Lead – Industry & Alumni, School of Chemical & Life Sciences

About the role

The School of Chemical & Life Sciences seeks a dynamic Lead to drive industry engagement and alumni relations. You will shape curriculum, support pre‑employment and continuing education programmes, and build strategic sustainability partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review teaching and assessment materials for Pre‑Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
• Provide operational and administrative support for PET and CET, including supervision of student projects, internships and on‑the‑job training.
• Establish and nurture a network of strategic partners across government agencies, training providers, industry associations and other stakeholders.
• Build and sustain the CLS alumni community, designing engagement initiatives that align with lifelong‑learning goals.
• Contribute to school‑wide strategic initiatives and sustainability projects.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in a STEM or sustainability‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching/training and leading industry projects in sustainability, circular economy or related areas.
• Professional certifications such as SCEM, SCR, Certified ESG Analyst, Zero Waste Manager or GMAP are desirable.
• Proven ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and drive collaborative initiatives.
• Passion for education, self‑driven, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
