Lecturer – Outreach & Marketing Communications (2-year contract)

About the role

This is a two-year fixed-term lecturer position within the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies (HMIS). The role combines teaching, curriculum design and the development of outreach, marketing and communications programmes that showcase the school’s impact to prospective students, industry partners and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and adult-learner courses on social sustainability, project management and multidisciplinary collaboration, both face-to-face and online.
• Facilitate CET programmes covering communication, stakeholder engagement, design thinking and human-centred innovation.
• Develop and execute outreach and marketing communication strategies to raise the school’s visibility and support student recruitment.
• Create digital and print content, manage social media channels and coordinate open houses, roadshows and other recruitment events.
• Monitor campaign performance, report on impact and recommend improvements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, industry partners, alumni and community organisations.

Required profile

• Passion for outreach, marketing communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation and audience engagement.
• Experience in establishing and managing partnerships that support recruitment and outreach.
• Relevant knowledge or experience in arts, culture, media or related sectors.
