Lecturer – Pastry & Baking

About the role

As a Lecturer, you will go beyond teaching and facilitating learning, playing a critical role in recognising and nurturing students’ potential and lifelong learning needs. You will also engage in industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate learning for pastry and baking students.
• Carry out industry or consultancy projects to remain current with professional developments.
• Maintain strong linkages with industry and schools, including regular industry attachments.
• Update your skills, knowledge and practices through regular industry attachments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in pastry and baking.
• Awards in culinary competitions in the pastry and desserts category (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
• Proven knowledge of recipe formulation, baking and pastry creations.
• Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment.
• Team player with potential for senior lecturer or leadership roles.
• Ability to develop and update curriculum in line with industry trends.
