Legal Consultant – TMT & AI

About the role

Axiom is seeking a forward‑thinking Legal Consultant specializing in Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) and Artificial Intelligence to guide digital transformation and AI product development for a Fortune 500 client.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and structure complex technology agreements, including AI‑as‑a‑Service (AIaaS), SaaS, cloud outsourcing, master services agreements and data licensing deals.
• Design and implement internal AI governance policies, establishing guidelines for ethical AI usage, algorithmic bias prevention, and deep‑fake/synthetic media mitigation.
• Formulate commercial terms that define risk allocation, service‑level agreements, data‑security commitments and liability caps for algorithmic failures.
• Provide rapid risk assessments on product features, user interfaces, content moderation and consumer protection.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in TMT law, intellectual property or data privacy.
• Experience handling AI governance, data‑scraping or machine‑learning commercial agreements is an advantage.
• Coordinate with compliance and technical teams to ensure automated decision‑making systems meet sector‑specific regulatory standards for explainability and non‑discrimination.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating technology agreements (AIaaS, SaaS, cloud outsourcing, MSAs, data licensing).
• AI governance policy design (ethical AI, bias prevention, deep‑fake mitigation).
• Risk assessment for AI product features and consumer protection.
