Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, procurement, cloud service, data centre and strategic partnership contracts. The role also provides advice on transaction structures, liability, service levels, data protection, intellectual property and compliance risks, supporting corporate governance and market entry across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as customer, vendor, procurement, cloud service, data centre, NDA and strategic partnership contracts.
• Advise on transaction structures, liability, service levels, data protection, intellectual property, dispute resolution and compliance risks.
• Support corporate governance, licensing, regulatory filings and new‑market entry across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Manage external counsel, legal budgets, disputes, litigation, due diligence and special legal projects.
• Build contract templates, approval workflows, legal‑risk registers and provide compliance training to business teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law or higher; admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction preferred.
• 5+ years of law‑firm or in‑house experience, preferably with cross‑border, technology, cloud services, data centre or infrastructure exposure.
• Strong drafting, review and negotiation skills across customer, vendor, procurement and partnership agreements.
• Familiarity with Singapore and Southeast Asian corporate governance, data protection, intellectual property, employment and commercial compliance requirements.
• Excellent English legal drafting and negotiation abilities; Chinese language capability is a plus.
