Locum Acupuncturist

About the role

NHG is hiring a locum acupuncturist to provide acupuncture services to patients using safe, effective and up-to-date techniques and procedures that maximise recovery. The role also involves supporting service evaluation and research on acupuncture.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with the Ethical Code and Ethical Guidelines for TCM Practitioners
• Assess patients, establish and carry out acupuncture treatment plans
• Document treatment plans in electronic medical records
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education
• Support service evaluation and research studies on acupuncture, monitoring clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and service efficiency
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with the public and staff, and comply with hospital policies such as infection control, EHS and HR
• Help organise publicity or educational events promoting acupuncture services, and carry out ad-hoc duties assigned by the reporting officer or management

Required profile

• Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine or degree in Traditional Medicine
• Registered TCM Physician / Acupuncturist
• 1 to 3 years of experience as an acupuncturist
• Registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB), Singapore, with conditional or full registration, and a valid practicing certificate
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
