Locum Dentist (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Locum Dentist to join our busy clinic in Singapore on a part‑time, ad‑hoc basis. The role involves delivering comprehensive general dental care to our patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical hygiene and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dental consultations, examinations and diagnoses.
• Perform general dental procedures such as scaling and polishing, dental fillings, simple extractions and emergency dental treatment.
• Deliver preventive dental care and other general dentistry procedures within the dentist’s scope of practice.
• Develop treatment plans, obtain informed consent and explain options clearly to patients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and provide post‑treatment instructions and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with dental assistants, front‑desk staff and the clinical team.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety and compliance with Singapore Dental Council regulations.
• Refer patients for specialist treatment when required and assist in managing dental emergencies.

Required profile

• Full registration with the Singapore Dental Council and a valid practising certificate.
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent recognised dental qualification.
• Professional indemnity coverage as required.
• Strong clinical and patient‑management abilities.
• Clear and professional communication of treatment options.
• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working within a busy dental team.
