Luxury Small Group Departures Manager

About the role

Lead and scale the Small Group Departures department for an elite luxury travel brand, blending creative itinerary design with commercial strategy to deliver high‑touch, profitable journeys for discerning travellers.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Financial Analysis: Partner with senior leadership to launch high‑end trips, forecast revenue/profit and manage costs.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee travel executives to build detailed itineraries and execute complex logistics while protecting profit margins.
• Team Leadership & Scaling: Recruit, mentor and manage a high‑performing team of Travel Concierges and operations staff.
• Sales & Marketing Alignment: Work with private travel designers, manage B2B agency relationships and coordinate high‑impact promotions.
• Global Expansion Support: Assist in launching and scaling luxury group tours into the China market.

Required profile

• Proven Travel Leadership: Management experience in travel operations, tour commanding or luxury hospitality.
• Sophisticated Travel IQ: Deep personal travel experience and understanding of ultra‑high‑net‑worth traveller expectations.
• Commercial & Project Acumen: Strong financial literacy (costing, pricing, forecasting) and project management skills.
• Problem‑Solving & Creativity: Ability to design unique travel concepts and resolve operational challenges decisively.
• Meticulous Detail: Exceptional organisational skills with a focus on every detail.
