Maintenance Manager – Aircraft Technical Operations (London)

About the role

The successful candidate will join SIA Engineering Division in London, overseeing aircraft technical handling and airworthiness support for SIA operations. This role ensures compliance with Singapore airworthiness requirements and SIA standards while managing daily technical activities across European stations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily aircraft technical operations at assigned European stations, ensuring airworthiness compliance.
• Manage performance of Technical Handling Agents (THA) and Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to meet SIA safety, timeliness and KPI standards.
• Provide aircraft certification and maintenance release for SIA aircraft as required.
• Coordinate with stakeholders during delays or AOG situations to restore serviceability quickly.
• Manage spares inventory, including sourcing, reporting and replenishment aligned with operating plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with authorities, airlines, agents, vendors and OEMs.
• Monitor, report and analyse operational performance, recommending improvements.
• Support budgeting, audits, vendor evaluation, asset upkeep and general administration, including staff supervision.

Required profile

• Licensed Aircraft Engineer (CAAS SAR‑66 AML preferred) with at least 5 years experience on a minimum of two SIA aircraft types in a line‑maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Air Navigation Order, Singapore Airworthiness Requirements and Quality Systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, including irregular or extended hours, and willingness to relocate to London and travel at short notice.
