Maintenance Technician – Elevators & Escalators

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Jardine Schindler Group’s service team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of elevators and escalators across our portfolio, responding to breakdowns and performing scheduled maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on assigned lifts and escalators following checklists and safety procedures.
• Respond to breakdowns and call‑backs within contractual response times, including 24‑hour standby duty.
• Release passengers from lift man‑traps as required by contract terms.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults, conduct root‑cause analysis and execute corrective actions to achieve first‑time fix.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Communicate with customers regarding operational enquiries and provide feedback.
• Complete and obtain customer sign‑off on Preventive Maintenance Sheets each month.
• Provide technical support, training and assessments for junior technicians.
• Coach white‑ and yellow‑belt technicians on proper maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.

Required profile

• Trade certificate or diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance and troubleshooting within the elevator and escalator industry.
• Strong product knowledge of elevators and escalators.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative team player.
• Responsible, proactive, self‑driven with strong organisational abilities.
