Manager, APAC Trade Lead

About the role

DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Manager, APAC Trade Lead based in Singapore. The role is part of a global supply chain function and provides operational trade compliance leadership and support across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring compliant, efficient and scalable trade operations that support uninterrupted product flow. It partners with regional and global stakeholders to manage trade execution, mitigate risk and improve import/export and customs processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional trade leadership for APAC, ensuring compliance with customs, import/export and trade regulations across all operating countries.
• Serve as the primary APAC point of contact for global trade operations and support global supply chain execution.
• Partner with global and regional supply chain, logistics, quality, finance and legal teams to enable compliant product movement and resolve issues.
• Oversee and standardize trade processes, controls and documentation to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
• Monitor trade performance metrics, identify risks or gaps and lead corrective and preventive actions.
• Assess and manage trade impacts of product launches, network changes and supply chain transformations.
• Drive continuous improvement on cost, cycle time, compliance and service performance.
• Work with brokers, freight forwarders and authorities to ensure compliant trade execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade or related); Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, trade compliance, logistics or related roles at manager level.
• Strong working knowledge of international trade, customs regulations and import/export operations in APAC.
• Experience in a matrixed, multinational organization and managing complex operational issues and risk.
• English required; additional APAC languages preferred.
• Up to 20-30% regional and international travel.
• Preferred: experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries; familiarity with global trade systems, ERP and trade automation tools; exposure to customs audits or regulatory inspections; experience supporting APAC markets from a regional hub.
