Manager, Audit & Assurance

About the role

The Manager, Audit & Assurance leads a portfolio of audit engagements, delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services to both international and local clients. This role is accountable for planning, executing, and finalising audits while managing budgets, timelines, and long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and complete audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations, providing regular progress updates.
• Review audit work for technical quality and apply professional scepticism on critical issues.
• Coach, motivate and develop team members, conduct performance reviews and coordinate training.
• Collaborate with business development on pitches and manage engagement financials, including billing and collection.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international accounting firm.
• Strong ethical values, respect for diversity and a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new technologies.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and SFRS.
• Understanding of SSA and ISA audit standards.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
