Manager, Business Development – Merchant & Co‑brand

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Manager, Business Development – Merchant & Co‑brand to lead day‑to‑day relationships with merchant and co‑brand partners in Singapore. The role will support account performance, drive commercial objectives and work closely with product, services and regional market teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily relationships with assigned merchant and co‑brand partners, serving as the primary point of contact.
• Support senior account leads in maintaining strong partner relationships and achieving agreed objectives.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure timely follow‑up on partner requests and initiatives.
• Assist in developing and executing account plans, tracking milestones, revenue, growth and activity targets.
• Prepare performance updates, dashboards and materials for internal reviews and partner discussions.
• Identify and progress commercial opportunities, including new programs, expansions and optimisation initiatives.
• Support business cases, pricing inputs and opportunity tracking in partnership with Finance.
• Contribute to pitches, RFP responses and partner presentations with data‑driven inputs.
• Collaborate with Product, Services, Marketing and Market teams to deliver solutions aligned to partner needs.
• Track actions, dependencies and timelines across cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing B2B relationships within the payments or retail sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to monitor performance metrics and highlight risks.
• Self‑starter who can independently progress workstreams and manage priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively across product, services, marketing and finance functions.
