Manager - Front Office Services, Investment Compliance & Governance

About the role

Eastspring is a global asset manager with Asia at its core. Its Front Office Services (FOS) team supports investment professionals who deliver investment outcomes to clients through operations and support functions. This Manager role covers regional governance, standards and risk-based assurance over investment compliance rules.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure independent, risk-based assurance over governance and monitoring effectiveness.
• Define and maintain regional standards for investment guideline interpretation, rule coding, monitoring and escalation.
• Perform risk-based reviews to ensure the completeness, accuracy and attestation of investment compliance rules.
• Track, challenge and escalate material issues, breaches and audit findings, ensuring clear ownership and timely closure.
• Act as the first-line assurance partner with Risk and Audit, covering guideline interpretation, translation, testing and sign-off, Aladdin training assistance, pre- and post-trade monitoring documentation, and centralised rule coding and testing for the region.
• Identify opportunities for optimised rule maintenance and improved processes and system features.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Experience in investment compliance monitoring, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements such as UCITS, MAS and CPF, and use of the Aladdin platform.
• Understanding of asset management operations, especially investment compliance and risk monitoring frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise, facilitate and deliver in a dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, under pressure, with a client-focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools is an added advantage.
