Manager, Operation Management (Quality and Productivity)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manager of Operation Management focused on Quality and Productivity to lead a team at its Singapore site. The role is responsible for developing and executing quality strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving productivity improvements across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to meet quality and productivity goals while anticipating challenges.
• Develop and execute the site’s quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Lead quality management systems, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and preventive actions to reduce defects and quality escapes.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve labor productivity, cycle time, throughput, and resource utilization such as AMR, automation and MES.
• Establish productivity targets and track achievements against annual operational goals.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement or operational excellence.
• 3+ years of people‑management experience.
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives with measurable results.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, industrial or related manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, motivational abilities and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
