Manager, Patient Billing Services (Financial Counselling)

About the role

NHG is looking for a Manager for Patient Billing Services, focusing on financial counselling (FC) for in-flight patients. The role leads a team of Financial Advisors, supports their day-to-day work and drives process improvements and digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support a team of Financial Advisors who provide financial counselling to in-flight patients, refer financially difficult patients to the MSW and monitor deposits
• Manage team coverage so daily operations are not disrupted
• Provide monthly reports to management on FC-related statistics
• Update training materials and run FC refresher courses
• Keep internal policies, work instructions and forms aligned with the latest MOH guidelines
• Take part in FC system UAT and projects when needed
• Lead FC Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives to streamline FC processes
• Take part in process improvement and IT projects and perform other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant experience
• At least 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Experience implementing RPA projects with tools such as UiPath is preferred
• Familiarity with driving workflow changes and AI projects with operations users
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and service-oriented

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of SAP is preferred
