Manager – Support & Patient Operations (Food Services)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the Food Services function at Eastern General Hospital. You will be responsible for setting up and overseeing all aspects of food service delivery to ensure patients receive high‑quality, nutritious meals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement food service policies in line with health and safety regulations.
• Manage the budget, procurement, and financial performance of the food services operation.
• Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians to design patient‑centred menus.
• Lead a team of outsourced staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and excellent customer service.
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, such as adopting new technologies or sustainable practices.
• Support Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) activities and cross‑departmental collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Service Management, Hospitality or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and lead outsourced teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
