Manager, Tech Evaluation and Tech Acceleration Lab

About the role

This role sits within the Enterprise Transformation & Innovation Group (ETIG), which drives enterprise digital transformation and innovation by accelerating technology adoption and supporting high-growth tech companies. It works with the IMDA Accreditation and Spark programmes, which nurture Singapore-based digital technology companies. You will join Enterprise & Ecosystem Development, a team that evaluates and onboards tech startups into these programmes, performing rigorous product and company due diligence through strong product assurance and validated test performance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical evaluation and risk assessments of innovative tech products, identifying key differentiators and core capabilities
• Design risk-based test plans covering functionality, performance, scalability, security, reliability, maintainability and usability, and carry out penetration testing and source-code scans
• Advise companies on secure architectures and deployment on Government Commercial Cloud and public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deliver remediation strategies for security and technical gaps
• Manage and improve cloud sandboxes (AWS, Azure, GCP) for POCs, troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement IaC automation with tools such as Terraform
• Monitor security posture, platform health, cloud usage and expenditure
• Build relationships with founders, CEOs, CTOs, engineering teams, cloud providers, government agencies and enterprise leaders, and explain technical findings clearly to stakeholders

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related field preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, solution architecture or related fields
• Broad knowledge of emerging technologies such as enterprise software, AI/GenAI, cybersecurity, cloud and IoT
• Proven track record reviewing application architectures, conducting security assessments and evaluating technical risks
• Self-driven, adaptable and diplomatic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure and GCP, modern application architecture and enterprise security frameworks
• Certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, CISSP/CCSP, Kubernetes and cloud security are advantageous
• Experience with Singapore public-sector security benchmarks (IM8, GCC) is highly advantageous
