Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer (OT/Industrial)

About the role

The Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer (OT/Industrial) will protect digital assets and industrial computing systems within Applied Materials' semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment. You will work closely with manufacturing, IT security, network, facilities and equipment engineering teams to ensure security standards are designed, implemented and maintained across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Discover and assess devices used in manufacturing facilities.
• Enforce secure configuration baselines for Windows and Linux endpoints and servers.
• Implement and manage Network Admission Control (NAC) solutions.
• Operate malware prevention tools and maintain application allow‑listing policies.
• Conduct decontamination and validation of incoming digital components.
• Support security incident response for manufacturing networks and connected systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, IT Security, Network Engineering, Facilities, and Equipment Engineering to uphold compliance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to independently manage security initiatives in an industrial environment.
• Experience securing Windows and Linux systems.
• Familiarity with NAC, malware prevention and application allow‑listing technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with decontamination and validation processes for digital components.
• Capability to respond to security incidents affecting manufacturing networks.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional engineering teams.
