Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain fabrication methods, sequences and processes for semiconductor and display equipment. The role works closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to launch product improvements and new products while driving cost reduction and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvement releases and new product launches with other engineering functions.
• Lead the team in applying Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Create and execute test procedures, evaluate results and assess work methods.
• Identify root causes, perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Lead supplier issue management, including travel for troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems on the job.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus.
