Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences and processes for fabricating parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. The role works closely with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products while driving cost reduction, quality improvement and productivity gains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fabrication methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products.
• Apply DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Create and execute test procedures, evaluate results and assess work methods, procedures and policies.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly or system testing issues; perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and report findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of related experience in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
• Strong conceptual knowledge and technical problem‑solving ability.
• Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
