Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Applied Materials, you will develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating semiconductor equipment components. You will work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to launch product improvements and new products while driving cost reduction and quality enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
• Coordinate release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, and determine time standards using DFx principles.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results, and perform root‑cause analysis including Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Lead supplier issue management, including travel to troubleshoot technical challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong conceptual knowledge for everyday problem‑solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to explain complex information clearly.
