Manufacturing Engineer - Night Shift

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its night‑shift operations in Singapore. The role focuses on developing and maintaining fabrication methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, components and assemblies while driving cost reduction and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products, managing engineering projects as needed.
• Lead the use of Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results and analyse work methods to identify root‑cause issues and corrective actions, including PFMEA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 4–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus.
