Manufacturing Engineer – Shift 4pm to 1:30am

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production on the 4 pm to 1:30 am shift in Singapore. You will develop and maintain test procedures, support production issues, and drive continuous‑improvement projects across the manufacturing line.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Mayan test procedures for Endura Mainframe, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve production issues and enable timely system shipments.
• Design, validate and deploy test fixtures in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects to reduce labor hours, scrap, and rework while improving efficiency.
• Participate in product transition meetings to ensure manufacturing readiness of test procedures, jigs, tooling and facilities.
• Manage field escalations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and resolve supplier‑related DMRs.
• Perform Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for test bays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and use hand/power tools; clean‑room PPE may be required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % of the time.
