Manufacturing Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to lead product transitions between Austin and Singapore, drive factory ramp‑up projects and ensure manufacturing readiness for new and existing semiconductor equipment. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage program risks and support the company’s AI‑driven technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product transition between Austin and Singapore, overseeing factory ramp projects and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, NPI, Supply Chain and Logistics to execute strategic program initiatives.
• Own manufacturing transition programs, planning, coordinating and executing to achieve production readiness.
• Develop scalable line designs and production strategies to support future growth.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements to optimise labour efficiency and factory utilisation.
• Manage program risks, schedules, dependencies and stakeholder communications.
• Utilise project‑management tools (reports, tracking charts, Smartsheet, scheduling software) to monitor progress.
• Provide backup support for MDP leadership and drive initiatives that mitigate high‑risk parts and vendor shortages.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of large‑scale project and program management experience in technology strategy implementation (e.g., ERP, analytics, supply‑chain technology, manufacturing, NPI transition, AI/ML).
• Demonstrated functional knowledge in operations, supply chain and clean‑room environments.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and negotiate alternative viewpoints.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room setting and use appropriate PPE when required.
