Manufacturing Quality Engineer - VOC

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer focused on VOC to develop and maintain quality standards for its semiconductor and display equipment. The role involves applying rigorous testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and applies quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Develops and conducts related tests and prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
• Analyzes operational data, recommends corrective actions, and implements improvements.
• Participates in and may lead audits, evaluates work methods, procedures and policies.
• Tracks qualification status, reviews reliability test results, determines disposition of non‑compliant products and releases qualification packs.
• Utilizes drawings, specifications and industry standards, adapting inspection measuring devices as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in manufacturing quality engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Understands best practices, how the quality function integrates with other areas, and is aware of market competition.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects with manageable risk.
• Solves complex problems, evaluates multiple information sources and exercises sound judgment.
• Communicates difficult or sensitive information effectively and builds consensus.
