Manufacturing Technician – Cleanroom Equipment Assembly

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician at Applied Materials, you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing high‑value display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves electro‑mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and ensuring all components meet strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assembly performance.
• Conduct parts audits, inspect for defects and ensure required components are available.
• Enter progress, expense and labor data into the computer system and report safety incidents promptly.
