Manufacturing Technician (CMP)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. You will handle electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test equipment.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and corrective repairs.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies.
• Enter progress and labor data into computer systems and generate documentation.
• Conduct parts audits, inspect for defects and ensure availability of required components.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with ability to apply scientific methods to routine tasks.
• Understanding of how the manufacturing team integrates with other functions.
• Capability to recognise and solve typical problems without supervisory approval.
• Commitment to safety, clean and healthy work environment.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Operation of test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Basic computer programming or software installation for equipment.
